What our clients and participants have said…

“David was great to work with us in developing and facilitating our Diversity and Inclusion Workshop. He worked with me to flush through some of my initial ideas and was invaluable in incorporating his experiences and insights. In delivering the workshop he was organized and thoughtful. Given the topic we were not sure how people would respond or what can of worms would potentially take us off topic. David did a great job of making sure people felt heard while keeping us on topic. I would highly recommend working with David on your group’s custom needs!
-Charlyne Fothergill, Director of Career Services, Lighthouse Labs
“I wish I had taken this course earlier! Cole translates solid scientifically-backed research into practical, bite-sized exercises that was easy but impactful to incorporate into my life. I’ve since grown much more self-aware about my actions and attitudes that can help build the habits I want”
-Raffles Koh, Business Analyst
“David, Cole and the team never fail to inspire and encourage my personal growth through their thoughtful and powerful work shopping. Whether you’re looking to snap out of a rut, or simply improve your daily performance, give them and try and let them guide you towards transforming your life.

Our Workshop Philosophy

Our workshops are hands-on, highly experiential and provide a safe space to explore new themes and investigate the future of work. The learning environment is dynamic and the lessons are highly applicable.

We have worked with hundreds of people and know that while a great presentation can be very insightful and entertaining, it doesn’t mean lasting results and new behaviours. That’s why all our conversations leverage the principles of engaging learning experiences and habit change to ensure that our workshops’ takeaways will be implemented in our participants’ work and life.

Workshop Breakdown

Take a closer look under the hood at what happens in our workshops.

Digital Distractions:
Habits to reclaim your power over technology

We have passed the point where technology devices are hindering us more than they are helping us. They are distracting our attention, they are draining our mental energy and they are even affecting our wellbeing and performance.

In this workshop, we will explore how our devices are designed to distract us and learn techniques to reclaim our power over our technology and bring focused attention back into our workflow.

Out of taking this workshop, your people will improve their productivity and reduce wasteful habits. This means less procrastination and more focus at work.

Mindfulness Habits:
Making mental health your competitive advantage

There’s a reason why thousands of organizations are embracing mindfulness – it works. Study after study has proven that this simple yet powerful tool allows anyone to improve their performance and mental health. The challenge is establishing mindfulness as a habit.

In this workshop, we will explore what mindfulness is and how we can use the science of habits to make it a regular practice. We will show you a variety of mindfulness techniques so that each individual can pick one that works for them and turn it into a habit.

Out of taking this workshop, your people will be able to use mindfulness to have more mental energy and overcome distractions. This means less stress, more creativity and improved wellbeing for all.

Energy Management:
Prevent burnout and boost engagement

The research is clear, performance is not a function of managing time, but rather energy. We are also in a period of time where all domains of energy – mental, physical, emotional and spiritual – are being stressed to the limits. To be able to not just survive, but thrive in our jobs (and our lives), we need to learn how to effectively manage our energy and build supportive systems into our daily and weekly routines.

In this workshop, we will evaluate how we manage our energy and identify opportunities to better restore and use it. We will reframe our relationship to stress so that we can use it to our advantage. We will also look at what habits to implement individually or collectively to support ongoing energy management.

Out of taking this workshop, your people will have new strategies to build resiliency and better handle stress. This means less burnout and more engagement.

Giving and Receiving Feedback:
Empower people to grow

Without feedback learning cannot happen. Like learning to bowl without being able to see where the ball went or what happened to the pins. Our work culture is trapped in a default view that feedback is painful, difficult and taken personally, resulting in tricks like the “feedback sandwich”.

In this workshop, we will evaluate sound principles for giving and receiving effective feedback and have an opportunity to put this into practice.

Out of taking this workshop, your people will be able to shift their view of feedback and start to use it to fundamentally alter their behaviour. This means less resistance to giving and receiving feedback and increased performance.

Diversity and Inclusion:
Creating a safe and fair environment for everyone

Research has been showing that a key blindspot for individuals and organizations are different forms of unconscious biases that can prevent us from cultivating an inclusive and innovative workplace.

In this workshop, we will explore these biases and learn the skills to surface and powerfully deal with them.

Out of taking this workshop, your people will have an expanded awareness of their biases and will have the conversations to continuously cultivate an inclusive workplace. This means less concerns about harassment or discrimination and an increased feeling of safety at the workplace.

Getting Unstuck: Discovering new perspectives on sticky problems

A father brought his head-strong daughter to see a famous therapist. He explained, “My daughter doesn’t listen to me or her mother. She is always expressing her own opinion.” After the father finished describing his daughter’s problem, the therapist replied, “Now isn’t it good that she will be able to stand on her own two feet when she is ready to leave home?” The father sat in stunned silence. That was the extent of the therapy – the father now saw his daughter’s behaviour as a useful resource later in her life. This is the essence of reframing.

In this workshop, we will explore reframing, a technique used by therapists, strategists, politicians, team leaders, and many more, and how it can fundamentally and instantly alter our behaviour and relationship to our circumstances.

Out of taking this workshop, your people will be able to use reframing to look at their own performance and their circumstances in a new light, leading to new openings resulting in breakthrough results. This means less time “feeling stuck” and more creative solutions to the problems faced.
